Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Technology Project Manager.

Position Summary: Responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of Turnpike Office of Information Technology Office (Client) project-oriented work efforts. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the Client to ensure projects are delivered on time, are within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Responsible for assembling Client project plans and teamwork assignments, coordinating and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing a quality assurance review, and escalating timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and resources to meet customers' needs. Coordinates communication with all enterprise areas that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of managed work effort. Assists Client Manager(s) and delegates in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to utilize IT resources to achieve the goals of the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create, manage, implement, and ensure the stability of IT-approved projects. Includes, but is not limited to methods and processes for deploying technology resources
• Advises and works closely with the Information Technology Managers on the coordination of Information Technology activities, projects, and initiatives
• Install, configure, and update Project Management related software
• Responsible for timely reporting and status updates to stakeholders, IT management, and other invested parties
• Responsible for documenting solutions to technology issues
• Responsible for documenting, publishing, and managing technology methods, practices, policy, and procedure
• Responsible for reading and following the Department's Procedures and Policies
• Responsible for understanding and enforcing the Department's Policies and Procedures
• Participate in team projects, meetings, and assignments
• Responsible for traveling to remote sites to coordinate IT-related projects and manage resources
• As required, assist with annual inventory scanning and equipment surplus
• Responsible for security compliance
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Must possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in using project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
• Must possess experience in change management and other project management components to fulfill the expectations of project scope and deliverables.
• Must have the ability to perform capacity and resource planning, assessing service level agreements compliance, and contingency planning
• Ability to manage one or more projects of medium to high complexity
• Ability to coach one or more team members on project management-related work functions.
• Ability to communicate technical information simplistically to customers, including but not limited to new technologies, team projects, and new equipment/applications.
• Manages the daily activities to resolve problems and change management issues
• Skilled in preparing metrics to evaluate project performance and works with IT groups and users to ensure the scope objectives are met
• Skilled in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of requirements for end-users and technology customers
• Customer-driven, detail-oriented, and is an effective time manager
• Good verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Problem Solver, Team Player, and Self Motivated
• Must be able to travel

Bachelor's Degree or Technical Institute, Degree/Certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management Professional (PMP) or related fields, preferred. May consider equivalent work experience.

5 to 7 years, including three or more years managing projects, preferably at least one year in a government environment.

Complexity: Works independently or on a team. 25% – 40% Travel
