Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Remote Technical Support Analyst with a major corporation in Seattle, WA.

**This position will be REMOTE until covid restrictions are lifted and then will be on-site in downtown Seattle, WA***

Schedule: 4am – 4pm WED-SAT Back Days, PST hours.

Within the Technical Operations Center, the Analyst is responsible for first-level incident response and triage, coordination of support resources, and communication of important updates to key stakeholders. TOC Analysts help ensure the smooth progression of Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes, with the goal of minimizing the impact of service disruptions to critical systems. TOC Analysts are expected to have conversational knowledge of technology systems at an enterprise level, including networking, platform, and cloud services. 
Key expectations and responsibilities:
• Proactive monitoring of critical systems and services
• Rapid response to incoming incident notifications, through either technical or human escalations
• Coordination of engineering response teams during incident events
• Communication and logging of event updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Transition of incident processes to Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis activities
• Creation and maintenance of process documentation
• As-needed assignments from TOC leadership

Basic Qualifications:
• Motivated self-starter that is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Conversational understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including networking, load balancing, Linux and Windows servers, DNS, and Cloud services
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, to include technical accuracy and professional writing style
• Foundational ITIL knowledge, with conversational understanding of good Incident, Change, and Problem Management practices
• Professional demeanor during times of stress
Experience with ITSM ticketing system such as ServiceNow

Technical Skills:
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to Linux or Windows Server OS
• Solid understanding of key IT infrastructure architecture technologies (networking, database, servers, storage)
• Experience in an application testing and/or application support environment a plus
• Experience with event management tools a plus
• Experience in creating technical support documentation a plus

Required Education:
Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
