Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Technical Project Manager with a major corporation in Los Angeles, CA.

  • On a daily basis- majority of the work will be process of documenting everything from last year working on managing programs around cost optimization- hand offs, transfers, maintaining communications, daily/weekly huddles- with finance and Tech/Engineer teams
  • Must have AWS knowledge and how to leverage data pipelines, experience with program launches- do not sub candidates who have not worked in cloud- preferably AWS
  • Finance background is a plus- working within finance- must understanding downstream effects- how will it impact product launches, must understand calendar vs fiscal year
Seeking a candidate with strong experience in Technical Program Management particularly with Cloud Infrastructure environments and Financial Operations teams. We are looking for someone to support metrics and model governance as well as cross-functional company initiatives within the cloud infrastructure. This candidate must be hard-working, adaptable, and collaborative with cross functional teams.

A majority of the role will be managing, supporting, and communicating updates on any and all initiatives tied to our recurring monthly Financial processes, and Tech/Engineering projects as it relates to our Financial modeling for Cloud infrastructure. This resource needs to be dynamic, flexible, and excited about a fluctuating environment and the entailing need to wear multiple hats. General responsibilities will include the following:

Job Description:
● Support the management of monthly cloud (AWS) invoice processing and allocation of charges to internal cloud service product areas (e. g., Storage, DB, Server, Network)
● Support re-forecasting efforts for AWS while driving cloud platform demand management
● Identify relevant insights and compile analytical reports to enable spend decision making
● Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with different departments to support forecasting and analytical efforts
● Manage overall project plan across multiple work streams and individuals while being comfortable with multi-level dependencies
● Coordinate across engineering teams to gather key updates to manage the overall plan/timeline – must have a solid understanding of the agile/ sprint software development process and be comfortable within Jira
● Work at a fast pace and take initiative to tackle problems and come up with solutions
● Strong leadership supporting many interconnected projects simultaneously
● Supporting programs impacting financial planning derived from, but not limited to, product launches, migrations, integrations, systems decommissioning, capacity planning, performance optimization, and application delivery.
● Contributing ideas to team/process development initiatives.
● Collaborating with system engineers and software architects.
● Reporting program/s progress to leadership teams.
● Ensuring that deliverables are completed on time.
● Evaluating team performance and facilitating adjustments as needed
● Documenting processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
● Ability to work in MS Excel, GSuite, Trello, Jira, Keynote/PPT, and flowchart software

Basic Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology or program management management, business management, or similar.
● 3-5 years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a related industry.
● Knowledge of the full life-cycle of product development within the cloud infrastructure
● Advanced experience in program planning and providing clear and concise leadership updates.
● Ability to evaluate program performance metrics, as well as diagnose and resolve issues with necessary stakeholders.
● Ability to keep up with advancements in the field of technical program development.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
