Software Resources has an immediate, contract job opportunity for a Sr. Portfolio Analyst with a major corporation in Orlando, FL. Remote position for Florida candidates; onsite for purpose driven meetings only.

Description:
Under guidance of the Manager of Portfolio Planning, the Portfolio Planning Senior Analyst is responsible for driving portfolio-level capacity planning, forecast rationalization and product/project priorities supporting the strategic business goals of the organization. The analyst will have accountability for the product/portfolio health maintaining reports and presentations for executive level communications. Responsibilities also include anticipating risks, impacts, opportunities supporting the product/portfolio as well as, rationalization audits of initiatives/products, support of system/tool integrations, and data integrity. The career path is to grow into a Lead Portfolio Planning Analyst role.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Own project/product forecast planning inputs for assigned portfolios ranging from ***M+ (and/or support large-scale portfolio) and accountability for financial targets
• Partner with Finance to provide cause of change for variances, assist in monthly/quarterly close procedures, and responsible for monthly/quarterly updates
• Consolidate, communicate, and partner with project, product & portfolio teams to resolve variances across the planning cycle; escalating risk when/where necessary
• Gather, analyze, and report on resource capacity and utilization for respective portfolios
• Lead, create, and maintain reporting solutions for portfolio-level capacity planning, forecast rationalization and product/project priorities for assigned portfolio to be integrated with portfolio wide reporting
• Ensure Project/Product Portfolio teams have the appropriate tools for project and portfolio planning
• Support accurate portfolio inputs within PPM system/tool to ensure accurate data for portfolio and partnering teams (i.e. Finance & Project teams)
• Develop effective partnerships and collaborate with leads across all departments in DPEP T&D
• Mentor and guide more junior members of the portfolio planning team
• Drive solutions for process improvements, standardization, and efficiency within the organization

Basic Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
• 3+ years Project Portfolio Analyst experience or similar role
• Experience with Project Portfolio Management software preferred; CA Clarity experience a plus
• MS Office proficient & expertise in equivalent software; expert in Excel
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle, shift gears and maintain a sense of humor
• Practiced in the basics of project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning)
• Strategic planning partner for key planning milestones (long term & annual planning)
• Understands the software development project lifecycle/methodology
• Able to meet deadlines and deliver under intense business environment
• Experience working with multiple creative and technical teams
• Excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented when managing issues
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
• Practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
• Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities
• Self-motivated and dedicated to performing above expectations
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent job related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Clarity or PPM tools a plus
