We are looking for a REMOTE Senior Licensing Manager – Consumables for an entertainment giant in Glendale. CA

Duration: 3 month(s) with the potential to be extended

Key Responsibilities and most important skills to have:
1) Manage a group of licensees
2) Work closely with product development
3) Find new licensees-pitching new partners to obtain licenses.
4) Will be responsible for franchise presentations
5) Negotiate terms (product, amount, marketing)

Important background to have:
-Licensing experience in consumables is ideal and transferrable
-Will need to be business savvy in understand financials and be familiar with royalties

The Senior Manager of Consumables is responsible for managing the Food portfolio / product categories and licensing relationships to meet or exceed predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives. New business development is a critical component of the role.

Category Management
” Manages Licensees within the category portfolio which includes contract negotiation, resolving issues, reviewing/approving of submissions and promotion/advertising initiatives.
” Analyzes account business performance and develops growth objectives that are aligned with business unit initiatives.
” Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats, and dynamics.
” Active contributor/driver of key initiatives within a matrix organization including Franchise Licensing, Product Development, Finance, Integrated Retail, Corporate Alliance, Ad Sales, Content Partners, Franchise Marketing, and Citizenship.
” Performs other duties as assigned.
Finance and Business Planning
” Fiscal responsibility for assigned franchises to include annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting.
” Contributes to the strategic planning process. Develops strategies and business plans by retailer, brand and property.
” Develops new business opportunities and manages the process from concept and pitch, to licensee on-boarding and contract signature.
Product Development
” Works with Licensees, Integrated Retail and Creative teams to develop product that meets retailer needs by distribution channel while maintaining quality and character integrity standards.

Retail, Sales and Marketing
” Supports internal initiatives generated by the Franchise Marketing and Integrated Retail teams.
” Works closely with Content partners to support franchise specific initiatives.
” Recommends initiatives, providing cost/benefit analysis and an estimate of return on investment.
” Drives synergy opportunities across the company with key Licensees in portfolio.
” Performs day-to-day responsibilities to include licensee management, product review, and Licensee communications.

Basic Qualifications:
” Bachelor’s degree + 5-7 yrs. of directly related experience or Masters +3-5 yrs. experience.
” The ideal candidate will have prior Disney experience
” The ideal candidate will have "blue chip experience from a major Client company; but not required
” We are looking for someone with knowledge of basic finances, category management, operations, consumer trends, etc.
” Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; must at times be thick skinned
” Strong relationship building skills, flexible and adaptable; patient; able to collaborate, influence, and persuade at all levels of an organization, both internal and external

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
” Capable of working independently and managing a variety of initiatives / opportunities simultaneously
” Self-motivated, strategic thinker, entrepreneurial

Required Education:
Bachelors, or equivalent work experience
