Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Safety Consultant – Construction with a major corporation in Lake Buena Vista, FL. 

About the Role: As a member of a 3-person daytime safety consultant team, this resource will support field construction sites across hotels and other site refurbishments/upgrades.

Must Haves:
  • Must have strong OSHA knowledge, site construction safety management experience, experience managing 3rd party vendors/ General Contractors, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Must have experience with risk assessments, safety plans, investigations, technical evaluations and technical reviews.
  • Functions independently and therefore must have strong communication skills to keep leadership appraised of activity, issues, and concerns.
  • Must have experience with MS Office (Outlook, PPT, Excel)
  • Education: 4 Yr. Bachelor's Degree is required – no exceptions.
  • Experience: 7-10 yrs of relevant experience. 
Description:
The Construction Safety positions serve as the key technical resource and are responsible for the implementation and sustainment of key safety programs for their designated businesses. Exceptional candidates will have a proven track record of independently driving above average incident reduction results achieved through the implementation of targeted safety strategies and tactics.

Basic Qualifications:
2 Employer references are requested – 1 at time of submittal, 1 at time of interview. This role requires excellent time management, and the flexibility to modify one's schedule during the workday to accommodate changing priorities. This role will be required to partner with Safety Services Cast Members to effectively communicate safety concerns, issues, and best practices. The role requires standing and walking for 8 or more hours; working in inclement weather; wearing appropriate personal protective equipment; lifting/carrying; climbing steps; ladders; and, scaffolds. Exceptional candidates will have a proven track record of independently driving above average incident reduction results achieved through the implementation of targeted safety strategies and tactics.
