Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Remote Publicity Coordinator in NYC.

Note: This assignment is remote in NYC and must work EST hours. There is a possibility of working overtime and must have flexibility.

Description:
The Publicity Coordinator works as the assistant to the Vice President of News for Media Relations. The coordinator assists the Vice President and department publicists in the day – to – day operations of the news media relations department.

Assisting in publicity efforts for News programming and News Specials; compiling, editing and distributing daily press clips, weekly status report and weekly highlights documents; posting press releases/announcements/advisories to the News Pressroom Tumblr; tweeting releases and PR related news for NewsPR account; compiling media lists; maintaining correspondents, anchor and executive bios annually; assisting awards submissions; processing invoices and payments; serving as the point of contact for payroll; fixing and approving time sheets for the team; managing Vice President's Outlook calendar, scheduling meetings for the VP and the team; booking travel; handling phone calls (when in the office); as well as other administrative needs. In addition, the publicity coordinator assists with press events. Candidates should possess very strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and administrative skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure news environment. Candidate must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• The ability to prioritize as well as multitask is extremely important.

• Must have excellent verbal communications skills.
• Candidates should possess very strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and administrative skills.
• Candidate must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proactive follow-up skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, personable and a problem-solver.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous exp preferred
• Existing knowledge of the television business and industry experience.
• Experience with Kronos and SAP or similar programs.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
