Job Description (Assignment Description):
The Technology Program Manager will be responsible for managing enterprise-level complex technology-driven programs and/or multiple projects within the Enterprise Technology portfolio through all phases of the project. The Technology Program Manager will also be responsible for developing a consolidated view of the program, and for program deliverables including calendars, cross-project dependencies, risk analysis, project financials, stakeholder coordination, and regular communication of status. This individual will work closely with various multi-disciplinary, multi-function groups of technologists, business professionals, and vendors. This requires experience communicating across audiences, effectively defining and utilizing escalation paths, and updating executive stakeholders.

What you’ll do:
• Manages multiple concurrent technical projects through software development lifecycle from initiation through closure, with waterfall or Agile Scrum methodologies to lead project teams on a daily basis to the successful delivery of software development projects
• Develops and manages end-to-end program scope, financial forecasts, and timelines for technical programs with one or more concurrent technical projects ranging up to ***M that impact multiple Disney segments
• Plans, coordinates, and directs all activities associated with creating and maintaining project plans, communication plans, risks/issues, etc.
• Leads Project Teams through the identification and management of risks and the resolution of issues, escalating to management as appropriate
• Quickly solve complex problems and resolve conflicts in a challenging, dynamic environment with minimal direction
• Provides frequent and transparent communications to the business and technical senior management, project teams, and stakeholders regarding project health, issues & risks
• Effectively communicates complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Executives
• Influences key decision-makers / stakeholders towards new business processes and technical solutions that best serve our organization
• Proactively drives, tracks, and reports key program metrics, impacts to budgets etc.
• Collaborates with other program management colleagues to coordinate activities across multiple technology teams
• Exemplifies leadership characteristics through collaboration, work ethic, and creative thinking. Strive to inspire others and deliver the best possible outputs
• Coordinates with external vendors, where applicable
• Understands most project domain components, including architecture, tools, and deployment practices that the development team is employing

What to Bring/Basic Qualifications:
o 8+ years of technical program management experience leading large complex projects, multi-disciplinary, cross-functional technical software and hardware delivery projects across a large-scale matrix organization
o Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle methodologies (focused on Waterfall, Agile, Lean)
o 2+ years of technical project management experience leading small to mid-sized Agile project teams that were diligently applying Scrum or SAFe principles, practices, and theory, with a focus on Agile delivery and ceremonies, and Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Rally, Version One, etc.
o Proven facilitator that can lead project meetings and large workshops driving commitments, accountability, and deliverables
o Exceptional stakeholder management skills; project manager will be working with impacted end-users and vendors across multiple segments within Disney
o Demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning, and process management skills
o Demonstrated experience developing and managing software development project plans and project financials
o Proven ability to manage multiple technology projects simultaneously
o Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve business results
o Strong interpersonal, organizational, influencing, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of constituencies in a diverse corporate and client environment
o Proven ability to deliver technology projects on time and on budget while communicating with key senior leaders
o Ability to communicate effectively to executive leadership in both business and technology roles
o Excellent organizational, written/oral communication, and time management skills
o Experience with industry-standard project management, collaboration, and application delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Office, Sharepoint, Teams, Clarity PPM, Smartsheet, MS Project Online, ServiceNow

Preferred Qualifications:
o Prior Experience managing DevOps, SaaS, PaaS, mobile/digital website development, remote access, security, ERP integrations, and networking projects is strongly preferred

Required Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
