Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Games Administrator with a major corporation in Bristol, CT.

Duration: 18 month(s)
  • Looking for a junior to mid level games administrator. This person will have to have a very flexible schedule as the team can work very long days as well as weekends and holidays. This is critical. This team works a very flexible type schedule. 
  • Work Schedule: Variable- 3 to 4 days a week, averaging 45 hours a week
  • Whenever the games are occurring this person will need to work. Will know schedule usually a week before.
  • This person will need to be a sports enthusiast to do this job as they will have to sometimes make up questions for contests and manually score them at the end.
  • Based on the sports calendar they could have 4 or 5 games in a day. There is also some information they will gather for marketing through our Adobe tracking tool.
  • Tracking trends, what we are doing well etc.
  • Looking for someone with the following 3 elements:
  1. Has worked in an editorial capacity.
  2. Possibly a TV Production type background or a similar fast paced environment.
  3. Sports Knowledge.
Job Summary:
As a Games Administrator on the Fantasy product team, you will program and operate a variety of sports prediction games playable on our website, App and the Fantasy App, covering a variety of sports and major events to maximize engagement with sports fans on platforms. You will play a role in identifying, registering, and fulfilling prize structures associated with the games. You will partner with Marketing, Programming, and Content to maximize participation of contests, and with Customer Care to produce FAQs and support documentation for games. You will work with the Product, Programming, Content, and Marketing teams to deliver a strategic schedule of contests aligned to fan interests and programming.

Key Responsibilities
Prediction game operations

o Researches, creates, and scores questions for all prediction-based games
o Develops and maintains schedules of games aligned to sports calendar and strategic priorities
o Coordinates directly with Content, Marketing, and Programming teams to promote contests across a variety of platforms
o Engages fans via game push notifications and social media
o Consistently monitors fan feedback help inform game and product enhancements
o Reports on success of managed games and contests to management
o Regularly monitors trends in casual and sports-related games and applications
o Available to work on nights, weekends and holidays
Prizing
o Conceives and develops prizing structures for games in coordination with management and manages to budget
o Works with Legal to draft official game rules
o Fulfills prizing to winners
• Game content and FAQs
o Writes fan-facing "how to play” content for games
o Produces FAQ content in concert with Customer Care team

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience working in digital media, preferably around sports and content.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple inputs at once.
• Exemplary communication skills
• Deep knowledge of sports
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

Required Education:
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
