We are looking for a REMOTE (but local to Los Angeles) Events and Marketing Specialist for our client in Burbank, CA

This role must be Los Angeles based to support the special events team.

This person will be responsible for in person as well as virtual events.
Must have strong experience, creating, producing, managing and marketing events.

The Studio is comprised of large teams of creative professionals who produce and acquire live-action and animated motion pictures, direct-to-video content, musical recordings and live stage plays that tell memorable, life-changing stories. We are looking for an Innovation Partner Events & Marketing Specialist to join our team: someone who wants to shape the next generation of creative and production technology and directly help drive innovation across our cinematic pipelines and theatrical experiences. The Innovation Partner Events & Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the strategy, planning, design, delivery and ultimate execution of business unit Partner Events and collaboration activations, acting as the point person for all coordination and communication leading up to, during the events, and post-events. The role will be working with critical internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and all associated vendors. Events will be a combination of both digital and physical formats.

Be the lead for Partner Events and Marketing. You will lead the development and management of a series of high-profile Partner events both physical and virtual, throughout the calendar year. You will also be a StudioLAB Partner Events liaison and will collaborate and support with other events as needed.

Work with leadership to manage the production and design of communication packages related to Events, including presentations, video production at live events, scripted recordings, video editing, marketing materials, and more.

Manage budgets, schedules, invites, and deliverables, including management of all "on-the day” event elements to execute flawlessly, with keen attention to detail, and superb quality standards.

Source, onboard and manage contractors and/or vendors on projects, including task prioritization, executing and tracking necessary paperwork, including required legal and financial documentation.

Skills:
  • Ability to build, manage and deliver handsome status presentations, including timelines, budget reports and resourcing plans to senior management.
  • Experience and skilled with Keynote, Google Slides and similar, with a solid graphic design capability to make sure presentations are consistent with the branding.
  • Proof and edit all copy being produced from graphics to presentations. (We have a full time Designer on the team, but you should be able to work to brand guidelines effectively and accurately, maintaining look and feel quality and excellence in all presentation materials and supporting media.)
  • Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixes, highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • Discipline to follow deadlines, research, and work independently.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Strong influencing capabilities with executive interactions.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) and experience in delivering executive presentations.
  • Must be able to interact successfully with all levels of management and executive leadership.
  • Be excellent at keeping everyone – peers, team, leaders and colleagues in other departments and units – regularly appraised of strategy and progress.
Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have excellent event organization and management skills and will bring experience and methods to the role that will drive superb execution. They will have excellent collaboration skills, an eagle eye for detail and quality, determination to avoid oversight or mishaps, and solid budgeting skills. This individual will bring a creative mindset to the table and will have ideas about how the future of events will manifest into a hybrid of bridging the digital and physical worlds together.

They will also be able to work successfully across complex cross-functional teams and business units – this requires organization. An ability to be flexible and communicate in a dynamic and extremely fast-paced environment to meet the needs of our business is critical to success, while the ability to maintain an even keel and a sense of humor at all times will be prized.

An ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and re-prioritize based on constantly shifting requirements will be necessary. This candidate should have a can-do, positive, inclusive team player attitude!

Required Education:
BA/BS preferred
