DevOps Software Engineer

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Data Science team as a Cloud DevOps specialist. Our team focuses on harnessing datapoints via innovative analysis, data science approaches and engineering processes. As a member of our rapidly growing team, you will work closely with data scientists, data analyst, Client engineers, and project managers to build robust Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Testing (CT) for production model pipelines, improving productivity from lower environments through cloud processes and workflows.

Media & Entertainment Distribution (MED) brings together the Company's best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. MED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines. MED also manages operations of the Company's streaming services and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

• Review, analyze, deploy and recommend solutions & tools to improve the Client/AI as service development process from the DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps ecosystem
• Design, develop, maintain and optimize our CI/CD Systems with focus on resilience, scalability, maintainability, and security
• Support infrastructure as code and leveraging CI/CD pipelines, managing the full cloud service lifecycle from DataOps, MLOps, DevOps release through retirement
• Maintain existing build processes, managing the design and implementation of their replacement while working to define and establish the DevOps best practices
• Iterate on your seamless production applications, continuously increasing observability and automation
• Build and integrate AWS managed services to meet growing demands across multiple AWS regions, including automation of AWS infrastructure configurations
• Research, develop, and deploy technical solutions into automated integration testing activities
• Drive standardization, simplification, and automation across all cloud workflows
• Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
• Support and comply with the company's Quality Assurance System and procedures

This is an on-site role. The company requires on-site workers to be fully vaccinated absent a legally required exemption approved by the vendor. Exceptions to the vendor vaccine requirement apply in states that have laws concerning employer vaccine mandates. Vendor must ensure that any unvaccinated workers follow applicable safety protocols when they are on-site. Specifically, for any of their workers who are not verified as fully vaccinated, it is the vendor's responsibility to ensure that at all times when performing services on-site at a U.S. location or property, those individuals, at a minimum, will wear a disposable face mask certified by ASTM International with an ASTM Level 1 or higher rating (to be changed every day). If the individuals regularly work within three feet of others, the vendor must also implement a secondary mitigation measure such as a face shield or safety glasses. Please note that workers may only remove the face mask if the worker is alone in an office with the door shut, or the worker is six feet of distance from others and actively eating or drinking. Additional safety protocols may be required, as determined in the sole discretion of The Company or its affiliates. If requested, the vendor must inform its contact of any safety protocols the vendor has implemented for any of its workers while on-site at a location or property.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in establishing DevOps with CI/CD/CT pipeline and deploying production engineering models and code
• Experience with containarization for agile software development and productionization
• Experience in maintaining continual analytical environment and automation required for Client experiments to production
• Experience working with a team of Data Scientists or Client Engineers offering AI as a service in production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in developing Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins pipelines for Data Science/Client use cases (3+ years experience)
• Proficiency in AWS DevOps services
• Experience integrating DevOps infrastructure with MLOps in AWS Sagemaker or Databricks
• Experience with AWS infrastructure deployment including Terraform or Cloudformation
• Experience operating in an SDLC environment
• In-depth understanding of HTTP and Service Oriented Architectures
• Experience working with Python, Spark, Pyspark, SQL
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, able to concisely synthesize complex technical information quickly and accurately
• BA or BS in a quantitative field (Engineering, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, or similar) is desired
• Minimum two years of experience in streaming industry, knowledge of client and server side architecture is a plus
