Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Database Administrator.

US Citizens only, must work PST or MST time.


The Database Administrator position is a member of an internal software development team employed to advance the organization’s proprietary software platform. The Database Administrator will engage colleagues to facilitate the management of the database landscape founded and hosted in the cloud with Azure Services. The Database Administrator at a high level will oversee enterprise implementation of numerous instances of Microsoft SQL Server in operation globally.

Duties
• Define and implement Microsoft SQL Server best practice guidelines
• Define and implement data protection
• Define and implement disaster recovery
• Define and implement change control
• Define and implement database maintenance plans
• Define and implement database backup and recovery plans
• Define and implement database monitoring
• Develop a security and compliance plan
• Support the development team and give guidance on Microsoft SQL Server operating environment
• Provide performance tuning
• Provide resource health-checks and performance metrics reporting

Technical Skills
• Microsoft SQL Server version 2016, 2017, 2019
• Microsoft SQL Server Azure Managed
• Microsoft SQL Server Cluster
• Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and SQL Server Performance Monitor
• Microsoft SQL Server Query Language
• Microsoft SQL Server Stored Procedures

Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of database management combined with software development
• Minimum 6 years of experience Microsoft .NET platform combined with Web development
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Development pipeline; Projects, Dashboards, Wiki, Boards, Test Plans, Epics, User Stories, and Work Items
• Participated in medium to large projects involving software application lifecycle phases; plan, develop, deliver, and operate
• Remote and unsupervised work environment

Education Qualification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited college
Certification
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
