Software Resources has an immediate contract job opportunity for a REMOTE Content & Creative Strategy Representative with a major corporation in Los Angeles, CA.

Position open to Nationwide Remote, working 9:00 am – 6:00 pm PST. LA area preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Content & Creative Strategy department is part of UPR's internal marketing communication agency. This team drives creative strategy for global and destination-level brands/experiences as well as segment programs/campaigns. The Representative, Content & Creative Strategy assists the Sr. Manager in the development of content creation through the development of creative briefs. They also support the Sr. Manager by ensuring that the content meets the communication strategy and effectively supports all tactics and touch points. This position requires working knowledge of online and offline media, the ability to inspire great creative work, and organizational, collaboration and account management skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Content & Creative Strategy (Planning)
  • Defines the problem: Translate business strategy/goals into content & creative strategy/goals.
  • Summarize a business brief, roadmap, or POV
  • Translate this strategic input into a creative brief
  • Understand the basic principles of Think/Feel/Do model and how to apply them to a brief
  • Finds the human truth: Understand how to interpret strategic data and look for clues that might lead to the underlying "why” beneath the "what”.
  • Know an insight vs. observation
  • Understand categories & roles of research and data science (basic knowledge)
  • Create & present summaries of trend reports
  • Create & present competitor reviews
  • Synthesize desk research for relevance
  • Sets the path: Understand the importance of briefing and how to inspire great work on all projects regardless of the size and scale.
  • Writes project briefs and creative briefs that ladder up to overall campaign or program briefs.
  • Understands a brief vs. briefing
  • Knows what makes a good/bad brief(ing)
  • Acts as a catalyst: Express enthusiasm and passion for ideas, share examples that serve as inspiration to the creative team and other partners.
  • Briefs creative team on projects they lead
  • Make a valuable contribution to brainstorms and workshops
  • Documents and shares great work (problem, insight, idea, execution)
  • Pitches the idea: Collaborate in the presentation of ideas to partners and leadership.
  • Setting up work in strategic creative review meetings
  • Articulate the different types of ideas (brand, campaign,
  • execution)
  • Assist in the creation of stimulus
Content & Creative Activation (Execution)
  • Brings it to life: Help with the practical implementation of content that's been created.
  • Assisting in collaborating with journey lead.
  • Explain the pros & cons of different channels for a task & audience
  • Understanding of experience journeys
  • Tracks success: Understand what drives the impact of strategy & help gather the evidence.
  • Understand different metrics (ROAS, CTR, etc.)
  • Reads/researches case studies
  • Knowledge of SEO & SEM principles
  • Understands basic reports
Provides critical support for assigned consumer segment (POD)
  • Provides support to the Sr. Manager by actively managing content activation/execution for consumer segment pod needs.
  • Supports Sr. Manager with production budgets associated with projects in their consumer segment pod.
  • Works hand-in-hand with the Project Management team to define scope of work and budget for campaigns and tactics.
  • Proactively contributes to continuous process improvement by effectively identifying and addressing issues.
  • Embraces the agile workflow design and ensures there is consistent alignment between internal partners.
EDUCATION:   Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Integrated Communications or Advertising
 
EXPERIENCE: 
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in marketing, advertising or communications. 
  • Previous advertising agency, travel/tourism or entertainment experience is a plus.
 
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with an emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Workfront workflow system is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents.
  • Must be able to write routine reports, business correspondence and timelines.
  • Must be able to effectively present information to individuals and groups.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Positive attitude, team player with professional demeanor.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong willingness to learn.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
