Software Resources has an immediate contract job opportunity for an Associate Sourcing Manager with a major corporation in Kissimmee, FL. 

Note: This is a hybrid role in the Orlando, FL., area and will be required to go into that office on the specific day/days requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Merchandising/Product Development/Design, Business or Supply Chain or 1+ years of related experience

Must Haves: Strong Excel – comfortable working extensively in Excel, Sourcing & Purchasing exp – previous Management level role, able to Lead others, Understand retail gross margin – Basic retail math, Professional exp in a professional environment, able to work autonomously, experience with Apparel design and marketing, Very Organized, able to Mutli-task, this area is Meeting heavy – must participate and engage and previous
Negotiation skills – working with manufacturing suppliers

Description:
The Associate Sourcing Manager, Global Sourcing will develop, collaborate and produce results with regard to product quality, time/cost efficiency and revenue growth. The Global Merchandise Sourcing team has nearly 100 team members in 6 different countries managing 450+ suppliers providing vertically developed merchandise for stores, website, Parks & Resorts and wholesale partners worldwide.
This position reports to Sourcing Manager, Global Sourcing, and provides support and assistance with operational and organization functions to develop and source merchandise under the strategic guidance of the Sourcing Manager within a given department and/or sub-category of product.

Sourcing and Product Compliance:
• Assist/Manage the merchandise sourcing & production of select product categories for Theme Parks & Resorts retail locations, Stores, and alternative business model opportunities in partnership with the Sourcing Manager
• Partner on vendor strategy, product costing/placement, manage vendor communication and production management related to designated product categories
• Responsible for ensuring products meet established standards for safety and quality including monitoring quarterly Product Review Requests (PRRs) with product integrity partners
Productivity and Process:
• Track progress of production cycle against key milestone dates through daily maintenance of the Development Tracking Report (DTR)
• Contact vendors to follow-up and verify the accuracy of provided data, resolve routine issues and ensure vendor alignment with Disney processes and procedures
• Follow up with vendor communication regarding any outstanding samples (Approval, PP/TOP, etc.)
• Liaise with vendors and ticket/label suppliers to ensure Disney guidelines are followed to avoid late deliveries and charge backs due to non-compliance
• Ensure all products are shipped on time to support established in-store and online launch dates
• Provide accurate shipment status information from factory to DC.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Prepare standard any ad-hoc reports as requested (Time and Action Calendars, prod timelines, status updates, etc.)
• Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
• Attend weekly cross-functional meetings and quarterly product line review meetings to understand key sourcing issues and action items
• Communicate production status to global and regional partners during weekly cross-functional meetings as required

*The company requires on-site workers to be fully vaccinated absent a legally required exemption approved by the vendor. Exceptions to the vendor vaccine requirement apply in states that have laws concerning employer vaccine mandates. Vendor must ensure that any unvaccinated workers follow applicable safety protocols when they are on-site. Specifically, for any of their workers who are not verified as fully vaccinated, it is the vendor's responsibility to ensure that at all times when performing services on-site at a U.S. location or property, those individuals, at a minimum, will wear a disposable face mask certified by ASTM International with an ASTM Level 1 or higher rating (to be changed every day). If the individuals regularly work within three feet of others, the vendor must also implement a secondary mitigation measure such as a face shield or safety glasses. Please note that workers may only remove the face mask if the worker is alone in an office with the door shut, or the worker is six feet of distance from others and actively eating or drinking. Additional safety protocols may be required, as determined in the sole discretion of The Company or its affiliates. If requested, the vendor must inform its contact of any safety protocols the vendor has implemented for any of its workers while on-site at a location or property.

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years related experience preferably in specialty retail or consumer products
• Exposure to Sourcing & Production of multiple product categories
• Proven track record of effectively communicating with manufacturers
• Ability to manage multiple SKU's an timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple design and development partners, a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and desire to be flexible, adapt to change and grow with organization
