Job Description:

Reports to Director of Charter and Incentive Services
The Account Executive is not responsible for a revenue target. His/Her primary responsibility is planning, administration and customer support.

Overview of Role:
The Account Executive represents Cruises within the Corporate, Meetings, and Incentive markets. The Account Executive's primary responsibility is to assist with the "planning” of all corporate and incentive events and to provide sales support. The Account Executive works closely with the Account Director and Account Manager to prepare the "event order”; a detailed description of the all onboard needs. This includes preparation, communication, and evaluation of all requirements between the main point of contact and the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists Director and Manger and planning of corporate, incentive and charter programs.
  • Helps to set up and maintain event files once they are turned over from Sales Directors.
  • Works with Account Managers to schedule onboard events including receptions, meetings, room deliveries, etc.
  • Group and Charter manifest uploads
  • Data entry (Booking Master, Group Master, Res 2.0)
  • Assist Account Managers in preparing detailed "Event Order” or EO outlining all event requirements.
  • Review event bills for accuracy.
Essential qualifications and skills:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate with clients and internal management.
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows Based Programs.
  • Booking Master, Group Master and Res 2.0 is a bonus, but not required
  • Problem solving / analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of formulating main objective of the program in order to create curriculum.
  • Project completion.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS, TEAMWORK AND COOPERATION – Consider the demonstrated ability and willingness to interact harmoniously and productively with others in the immediate work group and the entire organization; and to foster a cooperative climate.

Required Skills:
Physical demands and working conditions and environment: The position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as computers, printers and telephones. Requires flexibility to work occasional overtime, evening hours and weekends. Works in a typical office environment with moderate noise generated by telephone conversations, computer, printer, copier and light traffic.
